Tofts trains sights on podium finishes as Porsche Carrera Cup GB head to Brands Hatch
Jacob Tofts and the Duckhams Yuasa Racing team will be aiming for more silverware as they head to Brands Hatch in Kent for rounds three and four of the Porsche Carwow Carrera Cup GB.
The distinctive yellow and blue colours of the number 27 Duckhams Yuasa Racing car will be easy to spot as it speeds through famous corners such as Paddock Hill Bend, Druids, and Surtees that characterise the compact and demanding circuit.
After claiming a second-place finish in the Pro-Am class in race two at Donington Park, Jacob will be looking to continue his strong run of form around the 1.2-mile Brands Hatch Indy circuit. With only six corners, qualifying will be critical in determining the grid for the two 34-lap contests.
The weekend gets underway on Friday 8th May with two 45-minute free practice sessions at 10:35 and 14:25. New for this year is a split qualifying format, with the first session taking place at 11:45 for 15 minutes. The second session will run at 17:15 and will decide the grid for round four.
The two races will take place on Sunday at 10:00 and 13:50, in front of packed grandstands as fans enjoy a full day of racing. Round three will be live streamed on YouTube, with race four shown live on ITV4 and ITVX.

I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do at Brands Indy. It’s a short, challenging track, so the margins will be absolutely minute. I’ll need to be on my A game, and I’m sure Graves Motorsport and Duckhams Yuasa Racing will be too.
Qualifying will be crucial because, at this level, overtaking is extremely difficult. That’s where our focus needs to be. It’s also a new format for the weekend, with two qualifying sessions and no reverse grid, which puts even more emphasis on performance in qualifying.
I’m hoping that works in our favour. I’m growing in confidence with the car, and hopefully it will be a strong weekend—I just need to keep scoring points.
