Tofts targets title on Porsche Carrera Cup GB graduation
Porsche Sprint Challenge GB title challenger Jacob Tofts will step up to the Carwow Porsche Carrera Cup GB Championship this year, with his sights set on the Pro-Am title.
The 22-year-old from near Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire, began racing in 2023, following in the wheel tracks of his father, Neil, into National Formula Ford 1600. It also marked his first appearance in Duckhams colours, reviving memories of past Formula Ford racers Eddie Irvine and Mark Webber.
He then made the move into Porsche Sprint Challenge GB, where he claimed the Am class title before stepping up to the RS Pro class last season. After battling for race wins and the overall title, he arrives well prepared for his graduation to Carrera Cup in 2026. Remaining with Graves Motorsport for a third consecutive year should ensure a smooth transition.
With a clear objective in mind, Jacob will be aiming to make an immediate impression when the season gets underway this weekend at Donington Park in Leicestershire. Racing in the distinctive colours of Duckhams Yuasa Racing—and with the weight of its pedigree behind him—he will be looking to write his own chapter in the history books.
Joining Duckhams Oil and GS Yuasa Batteries for the 2026 programme will be supporting partners; Edge, Rapid Group, Jurid, Moog and Monroe. Whilst Hornby Hobbies (Scalextric), TMA Exhausts, and Can Do Digital Marketing are all new for the season, a testament to the strong platform on offer.
Track action begins on Thursday morning at 9:15, followed by a second session at 13:15. After a rest day on Friday, qualifying takes place on Saturday at 12:35. The opening two races follow at 12:10 and 16:35, both broadcast live on ITV4 and ITVX.

“I’m very excited to be stepping up to Carrera Cup. It’s a great progression from Sprint Challenge after racing there for two years and taking a number of race wins. The Duckhams Yuasa Racing programme has had great success in Carrera Cup, with Dan Cammish and Adam Smalley both winning championships, and Max taking race wins last year, so I’d love to follow in their footsteps and see what I can do.
“I’m really happy to be staying with Graves. I’ve done all of my GT racing with them and enjoyed a lot of success. Every year—and almost every weekend—we’re growing together and improving. It’s a great atmosphere because we’re always looking for areas to improve, no matter how big or small, and everyone is pushing towards the same goal.
“I’m looking forward to Donington, not just because it’s the first round, but because it’s a great track to test both the driver and the car, with a good range of corners.
“The Pro-Am title is definitely the objective. We’re approaching this as a multi-year programme, and it’s an incredibly competitive championship, as we’ve seen in the past. So the goal this year is to fight for the Pro-Am title while continuing to develop as the season progresses.”
